Moderation is the key to life.
Running is good, but not as good as you’d think. Last week, research was presented at the annual American College of Cardiology Scientific Sessions in Washington which showed that runners who average more than 20 miles a week don’t live as long as those who run less than 20 miles a week. It turns out excessive endurance exercise can cause cardiovascular damage… and don’t forget the high-impact effects of running.
The key to living a healthy life, both mentally and physically, is balance. According to the CDC, 22 minutes of moderate exercise or 11 minutes of vigorous aerobic activity each day is recommended.
That may not sound like a lot of exercise, but how many days of our lives have we failed to exercise just five minutes. It turns out a little exercise, every day, goes a long way. That’s why I created the Team PJW 5-minute Pajama Workout.
As a working single mom I experienced, first hand, the challenges with staying healthy and fit for life – and now I’ve discovered what really works and, most importantly, it’s sustainable. As I’ve used this workout, over the years, my weight has dropped without any other lifestyle changes. How much as it dropped? I will say that a couple months ago I reach my personal goal weight – which I haven’t seen in decades. I wasn’t dieting – rather, I just maintain healthy eating habits.
My personal story, workout plan, and eating habits are all covered in the Team PJW 5-Minute Pajama Workout book and DVD available for purchase. No tricks or shortcuts, just simple solutions. Buy Now
